Why the name Long Acre?

To answer this question, we need to go back 7 generations and about 200 years. Longacre is the last name of my great great great grandparents, who moved to Missouri in 1826 and homesteaded the land that my family still resides on today. There is a very rich legacy to the place I call home and I don't take it for granted. It's really no surprise that agriculture is what I am drawn towards, when it can be traced back through my family tree each generation for over two centuries. However I can't say any of them grew flowers for profit, but my grandma did love her zinnias and peonies. When I was deciding on a name for my future business it was no small task and I took the job very seriously, but the decision was obvious and there was a clear winner of my choices. So, the birth of Long Acre Farm is a tribute my family members who worked in this industry and had careers in agriculture long before I came along. I promise the farming streak won't end with me (even if things look a little different) and am proud to keep it going.
