Hobby to Side Hustle - Blog 1
If you landed here you are likely either a flower lover (like myself), a supporting family/friend or just curious. I can appreciate each of these reasons and would like to say thank you for visiting my page and seeing what craziness I am up to. Hopefully at some point during the season I can have the privilege of sharing some of my flowers with you! Whether that be through subscription bouquets, event buckets or at the occasional farmer’s market.
I started gardening when I was 17 years old (yes I know, what kind of high schooler has a garden) and fell in love with it. At first it was just fruits, vegetables and some sunflowers. But three summers ago I decided to try a cut-flower garden and it changed everything. First of all, they’re beautiful. Second, nothing beats having a fresh bouquet on the kitchen table all summer long. And third, the only thing better than having your own fresh flowers is getting to share them with others. It’s way better than sharing your surplus of garden tomatoes, I promise.
So here I am, combining some classroom knowledge with a little bit of amateur experience and just a dash of overcommitment to bring you: Long Acre Farm - Fresh Cut Flowers. I invite you to follow along on this adventure as I turn my hobby into a side hustle. I look forward to sharing my flowers with you.
